I’ve read that this is a great series of books about two very young men, heart wrenching, but beautifully written (as I’m sure they are if they are written as well as the other books by J P Barnaby). I want to read them, but not until the last one is published – when I care about the characters I hate having to wait for the next book to come along! (I also need to be fairly sure that the final end is at least reasonably happy before I get too investeded in a long story.)

I’ve heard aboutthe series from friends in various Yahoo groups as well as on Goodreads. I’ve added tem to my wish list on Dreamspinner’s web site for purchase when I can afford it.
I am disabled and live on a fixed income because I get a social security/disabilty payment each month that is rather small. Thanks to my parents I’m able to get by.
The series looks great and I hope to read them some day.

Thank you for the great opportunity! I´ve bought Little Boy Lost: Enlightened on Saturday and can’t wait to start reading it. The series has been on my TBR for way too long.
I wish we were able to get, at least, the bookmarks in argentina

I remember when the first book was published and I read it’s review by Elisa Rolle. “Young love”, “innocent”, “kisses”, “sweet” was the phrases that sticked in my memory. Not being a fan of sugary sweet novels I put it aside. Then the second book was released and more people started talking about it – this time stressing the angst. That is more to my liking and I put it on TBR list. But later the third book came out and I found out it’s going to be a series with nobody knew (then) how many installments. I hate cliffhangers, so I decided to wait till the last one was released.

It’s sad that all the commentators so far are keeping the series on TBR list, but it often happens with longer, more serious books. We are (I am) busy, have half an hour a day to enjoy a book, and end reading fluff… That being said I WILL DEFINITELLY find time to read the whole Little Boy series once I have my hand on all six books

All the best

I have read Enlightened, and I have to say, I can’t wait to read the rest! I need to know what happens to Jamie and Brian. Their story is just so sweet and sad. It would be amazing if I could win the chance to read the rest of the series.

I think I saw a review of Little Boy Lost : Enlightened back when it was self published. I saw it on Amazon but didn’t buy it right away. Next time I checked, it wasn’t there so I read the Forbidden Room series instead(which I loved). Then I found out DSP was going to release the complete series. I have read everything but Escaped, which I am looking forward to.
This is such a great series. It is heartwarming, but also very heartbreaking at times. I don’t think I have ever wanted two characters to get their happy ending more than Brian and Jamie. They so deserve it.

I have yet to read any of these books, But a friend of mine has recently gotten into the series and she has nothing but great reviews for them. She said she cry’s but is so in love with the series that she’s just excited to read the next and the next.
I was so getting ready to buy them myself (which if I don’t win I am! lol) because my friend Veronica and I have a lot of book likes in common and for her to be so riveted in this series really has me wanting to read it!
Not to mention all of the other great reviews I read on goodreads. This is a series not to be missed and I am not going to be missing it for very long. lol…

Like others I’ve heard it’s a heartwrenching read. I can only handle so much emotional drain so I’ve put off getting involved with this series till I know I won’t spend months on end waiting for the next installment.

I’m excited about the blog tour as a whole, and it would be lovely to win your series of books. It will be hard to read what I have seen in reviews and excerpts as a very emotional series, but I think it will be worth it! Here’s hoping to winning!

I’ve heard only good things about this series. I have been waiting for all the books to release, since it sounds like they put the reader through an emotional ringer. I figure it’s best to read them all in one go.

I have just finished the first book in the series. I cried for Brian and Jamie. Great writing. I would love to win the series but I’m going to buy # 2 tonight cause I cant wait to see what is next for these guys. Thank you J P Barnaby for sharing your talent of writing such a moving story with us.

Hey,
I actually stumbled across the first book, enlightenment, by chance. I had been looking for the book Dream Boy, because I loved the movie. When I saw this book on iBooks, it said I could read a free sample and for the first words I was captivated. It struck a cord in me, not just the first few pages, but the entire book, and the entire series. My mom had been a religious zealot and in more ways than one, she changed when I came out to her. In the second book, abandoned, I was a mess of tears as I remembered all the time i had been picked on and bullied in school often times coming home with bruises and making up excuses for them. I was at a lost for words at the end of the third book when Brian had finally found Jamie, and having just finished the forth book and about the start the fifth, I can say that Steven O’Dell is one person I hate, though he may not be real. All of these emotions, memories and thought have occurred in the span of two days, starting in a boring calc. lecture class. I have never been interested in reading gay stories, the only one i had read before was Rainbow Boys, but I can utterly say that I am captivated by Brian and Jamie’s story, not only because many of the events that occur, I have been through to some extent, the religious persecution, losing friends, loneliness, running away, molestation, but because the feelings they have just jump off the page. I only have one of my friends starting to read the first book and want to get more too. Please continue to write for I will never stop reading as long as you do!

I have read the first 3 books, and I am dying to read #4, but it’s not available in ebook format at Barnes & Noble! Yikes! I am enjoying this series enough that I may even buy it from another (non B&N) website….which is hiGh praise from me. LOL. Please put the ebooks on sale at B&N so I am not forced to *gasp* actually buy from somewhere else.
PS. And of course I would love to win the series!

I have heard a lot of good things (and a couple not so good) so I would love to start reading the series! Never read any of your work so I think a series would be a good place to start!

I heard it’s amazing, and I’ll cry.
April 25, 2012 - 18:35
I’m part way through Escaped but I’m taking it slowly because I worry that there will be a cliffhanger and you’ll make me cry (again). It’s such a long time until July!

I’ve read the first two, they are wonderfully tragic… I’m looking forward to reading the rest, I hope there is some happiness ahead! Fantastic writing even though they are hard to read.

The first time I saw “Little boy lost” books, it was in the Goodreads. There were sooooo many good comments, that I thought “I’ll try it…” and then I couldn’t stop. I love the story… even thought is sad and hard you get this feeling that make you read it ’till the end.
