Phillip Aubrey and I met under some truly unpleasant circumstances after he experienced a bad breakup with his ex. In my capacity as an author, I offered him a way to tell his story so that others might hear him, which resulted in a series of interviews for Queer Magazine Online. From the very first phone call, we established an easy friendship that grew as he once again found his footing. From hanging out at Hustlaball to spending the weekend at his house in San Diego, we have had a great time. Now, Phillip Aubrey is stronger than ever, and loving life. I couldn’t be more proud of my new friend for what he’s accomplished this past year.
Please welcome, the absolutely beautiful Phillip Aubrey -
Tell me about your Unbreakable tattoo.
At the time, I wanted to get something that represented me at that particular time, something to carry and remind me that no matter what, I’m always going to come out on top. Nothing is going to bring me down. I wanted to remind myself of something uplifting because I felt broken, but I wasn’t. No one can break me.
What did you like most about your weekend with me?
I was very comfortable with you, and I really enjoyed your company. I loved the way I could be open with you and you brought a little sunshine into my life when we hung out together. I got to know you better.
What made you decide to settle in San Diego?
I moved to San Diego years ago after I lived in Spain for a year, and I felt a really strong relationship with my friends here. They became my family. I always thrived here because I was made for it and it was made for me – paradise on earth. 345 days a year of sunshine, and I really enjoy it here, I’m at peace.
You recently did an amazing photo shoot in LA – how does it feel knowing you’re going to be on the cover of a novel later this year?
It’s exciting! I’ve always wanted to do that and now it’s happening. Things are happening for me right now, and I’m happy about that. I appreciate being asked and wanted to be on the cover. It makes me feel good about myself.
Is your family aware of your modeling career and if so, are they supportive?
Yes. I recently just started talking to my dad more, building a relationship with him again. It was unexpected because I haven’t talked to him in about ten years, but he knew everything. My mom had told him even though we had never talked about it. My family doesn’t judge me. I’m in my own place doing my own thing.
Do you have an exit strategy for your modeling career? What are your plans once you decide to retire?
I’m pursuing other modeling work, and I’m going to just let it ride. I’m looking to come back into the industry in a positive way, but eventually I’d like to be a yoga instructor and travel the world as a master and teach and perfect my craft. That’s my dream.
How is Lula?
Lula is good – she’s getting bigger and bigger. She is in heaven, and she’s a completely different dog since we’ve been back here. We have a lot of bonding a love between us. Just little things come out of her character that I’ve never seen before. I feel really lucky to have her in my life.
What led you to try your…er…hand at adult entertainment? Was it different than you expected? Were you nervous for your first scene?
When I was younger, I did webcam work and a couple of nights a week I chatted and did things they asked me to do. When I did my first scene, I’m a pretty open, sexual person so I wasn’t really nervous. It was pretty much exactly what I expected.
Tell me about your experience with the upcoming adult media site Anteros Media?
It was an awesome experience – very nice, very comfortable. It was artistic, and classy. They focus on the beauty of gay love rather than just hard core sex.
What was Devon Hunter like to work with?
Devon was fantastic to work with, he’s such a great guy.
How were the scenes for Anteros different than others that you’ve shot?
With Anteros, they really built up the comfort level between models. You spend a lot of time with the other models. It wasn’t all about being fake – they really encouraged us to be natural, with real reactions. They put us with guys we felt a connection with, and that made it easy. The sessions were shorter and easy to work with.
You’ve started to film more often now that you’re single again – what sites would you love to see yourself working with?
There are so many studios I haven’t worked for, and there are some that I have worked for that I’d love to work with again. Studios like Falcon, Raging, and Cockyboys are at the top of my list.
Who was your first crush?
My first crush was Stephen Fairchild (sigh) – my very first crush. He was gay and I was 18, and probably the ONLY blond to this day that I was ever attracted to. He just radiated erotica. He was just beautiful, crystal grey eyes, blond, fair skin. Ugh, he drove me crazy. Years down the road, our paths happened to cross again, and we made out like teenagers. I felt like I’d waited a lifetime, I was totally overwhelmed.
Which scene partner did you have the most chemistry with? The most fun with?
I had the most chemistry with Christian Wilde, oh my God, and I had the most fun with Gavin Waters.
What do you consider your best asset?
My obliques, I call them cum gutters.
What are three foods you could not live without?
Spaghetti, bananas, and pickles.
What do you think about women watching gay porn?
I think it’s awesome. I like the fact that they watch it for different reasons, and the artistry of it.
What’s your favorite city to travel to? Where have you not traveled that you would like to visit?
My favorite city to travel to is New York, and I would love to go to India.
What do you like to do in the little spare time you have?
I like to play with Lula, and I like to garden. I do a lot of gardening and go to the beach with Lula.
Describe your perfect evening.
Cooking on the grill, sitting outside on my rocking chair, and then taking a hot shower listening to my favorite music, and curling up on the couch with Lula to watch a movie.
Do you have a favorite sexual fantasy?
I like public sex, so I’d like to meet a guy completely at random and have sex in a bathroom.
What is your preferred role in the bedroom – are you more versatile?
I am versatile, but I’m more of a top in my personal life.
Would you rather rim or be rimmed?
Either, I like both.
As a music lover, what kind do you like to listen to? What are the top 5 songs in your favorite playlist?
I like rock and jazz most. I like soul rock & roll. One of my favorites is Carolina Drama by The Racounters. I also love Backdoor Slam, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, and The Rolling Stones – they are one of my favorite bands. And of course, I love Aerosmith.

A sneak peek into Anteros Media
Phillip Aubrey is my first interview for the brand new adult entertainment company Anteros Media, headed by my good friend Devon Hunter. In December, I had the opportunity to tour the house in which Anteros films and watch the content with Devon who provided amazing insight into the men on screen. During the sexual scenes, he commented on the models such as Mitch Branson’s amazing attitude, Colby Keller’s charm, and Bryan Slater’s professionalism. I particularly enjoyed some of the unexpected moments during the scenes like things falling. It’s amazing that even while I jumped at the loud noise just coming from the speakers, the guy on the screen continued like nothing happened. Their concentration and professionalism were impressive.« Back to Blog
